@JohnPhilpin Ahhh, yes you’re too clever by far. For any future reader of this conversation I will had that I’m happy typing on the iPad’s software keyboard but once I have an external keyboard and the software drops away then I no longer want to touch the screen any more than I want to touch my Mac’s screen.

@aaronpk my DSLR has CFII... That’s right its sooo old it uses Compact Flash. But reversible connectors sure are an upgrade.

@jack I’ve been running my 2014 iMac from a TB2 SSD since 2016 without fail, in operation or in boot. It’s an easy upgrade, substantially easier than opening it up to replace the drive.
