@vanessa I created a WP site last Friday night (🎉!) and then transferred my domain from WP.com. (In hindsight I should have transferred the domain registration weeks ago.) Since then I’ve been trying to find the magic incantations necessary to make Micro.blob post there.

@mjmoriarity different subject (DNS) but I feel you’re pain
@JohnPhilpin for the longest time I’ve considered myself to be IT literate, both hardware and software. I’m not a programmer but I’ve developed an instinct for diagnosing which settings need to be set, which hacks made or recently terminal commands need to be run. But this is an enigma. Without instruction or any guidance, I’m lack a cat bashing keys on a keyboard. Considering one of the wider impact goals of Micro.blog is users running their own domains, the setup process could and should be less opaque.

@mjmoriarity I try to avoid animations. For any new device: step 1 turn off key clicks, step 2 enable “reduce motion”.

@JohnPhilpin you’re mostly right. My main site currently is career oriented, with micro.derekpeden.com as microblog. Except I seem to be in DNS transfer mode... I think. It’s all in a state of flux. I’m still out of my depth but learning as I go.
