@jack very true. It’s just about what you need - for pocketable notes I’ll use my phone. My need for a notebook is longer form notes at work rather than short notes in a pocketable book.

@herself I’ve been learning about the requirements for a switch from Wordpress.com to a hosted Wordpress site but haven’t yet uncovered to step-by-step process to transfer the domain and then the content. This should enable much more scope than Wordpress.com but I need to climb the learning curve. I’ll be interested to see how you get on.

@JohnPhilpin I have to agree with @dgold but I think this is largely how the story has been presented. The UK media ran the story for the extradition request and the (subsequent?) rape allegation. Until now I’d never considered if his freedom of speech was compromised. Rather tha someone ”accused” of publishing Secret Intelligence and Rape has avoided trial for either by seeking asylum by a state lacking an extradition process.
@kitt I’m not entirely sure what you’re expecting: 2 which come to mind are:
A frustrated day trying to find the perfect moment to propose to my then girlfriend (eventually found the moment at home with friends. She said yes)
The weight and feel of the wood on my grandfather’s coffin as I carried in into church
Both have obviously different emotions to reflect on.
